CHAMADES
ASSOCIATION
Purposes: Promote the music and preserve the heritage. Created in 1995, the
Association law 1901 Chamades was aimed to promote music and preserve the
instrumental heritage. It allowed to organize the concerts of the very first
creations of OrchiadOrio from 1996, to protect her writings via the SACEM, then
sponsored the edition of the first albums CD of the artist, self produced.
1996 in 2000: First itinerant concerts and musical creations. The first
invested places were The Mill of Music in Toulouse, the churches of Grenade on
Garonne and Beaupuy, the chapel Saint Pierre aux Liens, Castle of Launac, Castle
of Pompignan, coffee of Bouillac, The meeting room of Maubec. The trio Fireworks
(organ and 2 trumpet players) with the Mass of Alliance, the trio Osiris (organ
and 2 flutes which runs across), the show of humorous and mischievous words
puns, the recitals of writings for piano of OrchiadOrio were the first to
benefit from the support of the association.
2001: Green Arts, country place of artistic expression. In 2001, the
Chamades association invests a fixed place: an ancient Languedoc farm, which
will become the place of expression " The Green Arts " in Beaupuy. After
renovation of dependency by volunteers, the place acquires a stage semi-outdoor
games, of two rooms of exhibition, a shed for the traditional balls, then a
cinema of 50 places (in December, 2003). Statutes, then changed, open the
initial objectives to the promotion of Arts in a general way and maintenance of
any type of heritage.
Activities of Green Arts : Green Arts have been inaugurated May 1st, 2001,
receiving talented painters (Guy Coanus, Jean Jacques Kuguel, Christophe Pons,
Atatfa and René Hervieu). Thematic demonstrations (prehistoric trade, Occitania,
meeting of the civilizations of east and Occident) and various parties are also
organized: capoeira with American afro-south music (put together Saimiri), poem
(Résis-Stances), French song with Gardelli, traditional Occitan’s balls (puts
together Sem d' Aici). A living room of tea, located in the middle of the rooms
of exhibition, encircled with walls of earth, of ancient and noble materials,
adds to convivial mind and to will to associate art and nature, in the same
vibration. It is opened all WE on from May till October, 2001 and 2002. A room
is entirely dedicated to the pictures of fairies d' OrchiadOrio, inspired by the
soul of trees and flowers. The exhibition is permanent.
Then, from the creation
of the cinema of 50 places at the end of 2003, it will be the new shows of
OrchiadOrio that will be ground there and will be promoted by the association.
To have less pressure, the living room of tea closes its doors; more frequent
punctual parties take the intermediary.
New concept: In September, 2004 the concept of the parties " Essence of
Senses ", subtle alloy of exotic and traditional tastes (Kitchen of the Tiger,
Kitchen of the Dragon is born, blending the sweet palettes of the sweet -
savoury food, the traditions of east with the French kitchen, spices of India
with western taste), of colours (exhibition of the Fairies) and a show to close
out the party opened on the full of feelings and emotions. It is in this frame
the humorous and mischievous words puns and romantic show "Sens dessus, Sang
dessous" will be created, before travelling in the regions.
Creations of OrchiadOrio in Green Arts. The cinema, place of charm which
shows packed room in each of its demonstrations, the ideal place of repetition
becomes, successive creations will chain themselves then: Tornèm in Sorga
(12/2003), Sens dessus, Sang dessous (09/2004) Spiritual Canticle, version with
Chinese shades (11/2005), Spiritual Canticle, musical version (12/2006),
Narrates in Concert of the Duo Paris Venice (03/2007) and concert Young Talents
(15/11/2009)
Chamades continued editing the new albums Cd (See
Musical Extracts and
Order).
The association organizes on top of that some outside concerts, notably recitals
of organ in churches endowed with this instrument.
Since
end of 2008, the action turned more and more on the preservation of heritage,
any merged domains, to which also devotes itself the association. So, the new
directory of Occitan ball in jazzy accents created in December, 2008, "Oc to be
danced" by OrchiadOrio, registers in this vein which put together tradition,
modernity, festive and convivial mind opened to every public.
Last party of Green Arts. November 15th, 2009, before moving on the
“Granjona de Calcassac”, took place the last of Green Arts. Party Young Talents,
dedicated to young persons (17 years) interpreters and compositors. That's how
Jean-Gabriel Raynaud (music of film, piano) and Stella Wagner-Feillel (lyric
soprano) introduced traditional directory and original writings, livened up with
Chinese shades signed OrchiadOrio. An emotional concert and a room fills up full
of hope for goodbyes.
New place, new directions: Granjona de Calcassac. Since the end of 2008, in
the same mind as the theatre Green Arts, the association begins investing a new
place, rich in history, in soul and in spiritual vibrations: The Granjona of
Calcassac, located in Beaumont-de-Lomagne (82). Ancient Cistercian barn, oldest
house of vicinity (already listed by registers from 1162), established on the
ancient lands of the abbey of Grandselve, the place, however to be restored, has
a space that can receive music, painting, martial arts, but also sculptures of
outdoor games, totems, art of recovery and recycling linking the world of the
ancient tools and that of a contemporary expression. A place advantageous to
link up roots and future in a gift to be invented.
Ecology. In the same worry to preserve a living heritage, the equipment of
the site is progressively accomplished in the ethics of lasting development (dry
toilets, energy self-government, recovery of water, phytosanitary basins,
eco-participation hurries up of the public and dealers, construction sites of
eco-building with restoration in the earth, straw and lime). One AMAP
(Association for the Assertion of a Rural Agriculture) orientated on biological
culture and energy agriculture will get organized on the site starting the end
of 2011.
Sponsorship of a
Protective Orchard. In the same mind, Chamades threw, at the end of
December, 2008, a first action of sponsorship of young plants of hurdles and of
existent fruiterers of ancient kinds (auto fecund and resistant to diseases) in
return of programs of carbon. For all those who like to participate in concrete
terms in the preservation of the Living being on the planet and to struggle
against climatic warming, and to re-establish biodiversity. Each can so back a
fruit tree (H = 1,50m) for 15 or 20 euro, harvest fruits during 5 years, or back
young plants of village varieties adapted to the land for 2 euro the young plant
(H = 0,70m).
Partnerships. At the end of February 2009, Chamades received on the lands of
the Granjona de Calcassac an association of teenagers from Var (Vert d’Eau)
which helped in fruiterers' planting and putting straw.
Trees were then personified, labelled and endowed with monitoring photographs
for the donors. 700 metres of hurdles, as well as a "Protective Orchard" of 80
trees, interspersed by sculptures in recycling, came into the world in 2009.
“Nature
Days” Midi-Pyrenees. During the Nature Days, supported by the regional
council of Midi-Pyrenees, on Sunday, June 7th, 2009, the site received numerous
visitors. Visit of the Protective Orchard, demonstration of eco-building with
earth by Alexandra Tricottet, exhibition of outside bonsais by Sylvain Raynal,
Occitan dance by OrchiadOrio, barrel organ by Frederick Keller and Gérard
Misraï, sculptures of Recycl' Art (by René Hervieu, OdO and scholastic CM2 of
Beaumont-de-Lomagne) enlivened the day.
Eco-construction. Construction sites of adobe, cob, body of coatings in the
earth succeeded one another during the summer and autumn, 2009, among which some
in partnership with the Collective “The foot of the wall”, initiating to
eco-building.
New sponsorships 2009/2010. The edge 2010 of planting of the Protective
Orchard opened in November, 2009. It is 110 new fruit trees, ancient kinds, that
compose the edge 2010 of the Protective Orchard, established pouring South of
the farm.

Composition of the association
“Chamades”. The Chamades association is made of around thirty members. The
new 2011 president is Michel Boyer. You can support the association for an
annual 15-euro contribution. Are warmly thanked all members who have along the
period allowed the hatching of these places of expression and of these
initiatives: the town hall of Beaupuy for its annual subvention of encouragement
until 2007, the General Council of Tarn-et-Garonne which helped for the edition
of the CD Tornèm a la Sorga in 2003, the actors of the various participative
construction sites since 2009, the village of Beaumont, as well as the public,
loyal supporter and renewed, who comes to share these unforgettable instants of

Actuality.
Change
in
address. The activities of Chamades are consequently all transferred to:
Granjona de Calcassac, route de Toulouse, 82500 Beaumont-de-Lomagne (82). The
Ombres et Lumières (Shades and Lights) theatre of Calcassac, which takes over
Green Arts, enriched with new axles, will be inaugurated in summer, 2011.
The
Preserved Orchard will be opened to visit during the 2011 Nature Days Midi
Pyrénées (may, 29th).
Volunteers, people bringing a project of agro-biological plans, actors of
